Undergraduate Scholarship: A scholarship available to a college sophomore, junior, or senior enrolled in a four-year academic program at an accredited college or university | |

Elsie Borck Health Care Scholarship: A scholarship available to an individual who is at least a college junior and is preparing to practice in Kansas in one of the health professions. | |
Dena Nigus Memorial Scholarship: A scholarship available to an individual of junior, senior, or graduate standing in college who is preparing to teach special education in Kansas. This scholarship is renewable up to four semesters, or two summers, only if the recipient maintains a 3.0 or better grade point average. |
To be eligible for these scholarships, you may be enrolled in high school and college classes concurrently:
Career Preparatory Scholarship: A scholarship available to an individual enrolled in a one- or two-year academic/career/vocational/technical program that will qualify them for immediate employment or transfer to a four-year undergraduate program. | |
Carol Nigus Leadership Scholarship: A scholarship available to an individual who is enrolled in a Kansas school of higher education and has demonstrated an extensive record of public and community service, with outstanding leadership potential. The applicant must provide a written summary of their involvement in community affairs. |
To be eligible for these scholarships, you may be in the work force, not necessarily attending college classes at the time of application:
Career Development Scholarship: A scholarship available to an individual who has a career and wants to broaden her/his education and/or increase earning ability. | |
Mara Crawford Personal Development Scholarship: A scholarship available to a woman who is already in the work force and has a desire to better herself and her family. The applicant must have graduated from high school more than five years prior to applying for this scholarship. The applicant may be seeking a degree in any field of study and may be attending a four-year, two-year, vocational, or technological program. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate that they have serious family responsibilities and obligations. |
To be eligible for these scholarships, you must have completed either a Business & Professional Women's Young Careerist or Individual Development program:
Dr. Sharon Wiber Young Careerist Scholarship Scholarship: A scholarship available to a Young Careerist who has represented their local organization in district/regional/state competition. The scholarship is for subjects that would increase employability skills. Proof of participation in the Young Careerist Program must accompany the application. | |
Dr. LewAnn Schneider Individual Development Scholarship: A scholarship available to an individual who has completed the Individual Development Course. It may be used to update or continue the person's career through education, attending a seminar or workshop, or attending the BPW/KS conferences, state convention, or BPW/USA national convention. The applicant must provide proof of completion of the ID course. |
Hall of Fame Scholarship Program: Criteria and availability are determined on a year-to-year basis. |
Loans: Interest free loans (not to exceed a total of $800 for all combined) are available. Repayments of previous loans will determine the number and amount of loans offered. To be eligible for a loan, the individual must be 18 years of age, a high school graduate when the application is submitted, and attend a school located in Kansas. (Loans may be approved for highly specialized training that cannot be obtained in the state.) Recipients must pay back loans no later than 18 months after terminating school. |
