Kansas BPW Educational Foundation, Inc.
The Kansas BPW Educational Foundation, Inc., was established in
June of 1987 by action of the Kansas Federation of Business and Professional
Women. The Kansas BPW Foundation is incorporated as a non-profit, tax-exempt
corporation under the code of the state of Kansas and Section 501(c)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code of 1954. The purposes for which the Foundation was formed
are charitable and educational, including supporting education by awarding
individuals scholarships or loans to advance their educational goals.
The members of the Foundation consist of all
members in good standing of the Kansas Federation of Business and Professional
Women's Clubs (BPW/Kansas). An annual meeting of the members is held each year,
usually in conjunction with the State Convention of BPW/Kansas. The purpose of
the annual meeting of members is to elect Directors and to transact any other
business, if any, as may properly come before the members.
The
Kansas BPW Educational Foundation offers a number of scholarships to
students from Kansas. Winners of Kansas scholarships may also be eligible
for scholarships from BPW/USA. A list of scholarships and qualifications
for each is provided, as is a copy of the application form and
instructions.
